Semporna: The Story

The sea gypsy (Palaut) man using his skill to catch a fish from his boat. The sea gypsy can also dive into the sea and hold their breath at about 3 minute.

Students returning home from their schools in Bum bum island. There is only one secondary school in Omadal Island and its only for standard 1 to 3. For the higher standard and primary school they have to go to Bum Bum Island.

Some of the villagers playing with their traditional instrument to fill out their extra time. The instrument also being played at the Regatta Lepa festival that being held in April every year.
Trip to Omadal Island will take about 45 minute from Semporna, in order to fill in our free time in boat beside taking pictures, some of my friend playing with their other toy that is their phone. Nazaruddin with his iphone, Syahrin Aziz with his Blackberry even though he has an iphone too while Riedznan with his Gammin gps.
The Semporna Stories

A Palaut (sea gypsy) lady taking water from the sea to clean her floating house or known as “Lepa lepa“. Every year, an event called Regatta Lepa will be held in Semporna as a ceremony for the Bajau people.
